..and not only Balinese men would be offended, any Indonesian man might be. At the Uluwatu temple dances and most places, an Indonesian can go in free or half price if accompanied by a tourist, and why shouldn't they?? I myself as an Australian, sometimes living in Bali for long periods, have been offered half price by the various companies if I have taken my visiting friends. They all know I have been before and am giving them business. It's the way things are done.
And so what if a "Kuta Cowboy" does accompany a tourist?. Does this make a difference to your day?? They have not much option for other work and finding their rent and food money is difficult. It's up to the tourist.
