as I felt we, as Australians were a target there, and yes you could get hit by a bus, but you also try very hard not to, don't you?
Then a few months ago I was sitting in Darling Harbour,
Sydney, with my kids, waiting for my husband to finish work, it was the day of the Sydney Harbour bridge walk, and there were special police, dogs and security every where. As we sat in the glassed in food court, it was very easy to imagine the kayos that would be if a bomb went off, and it was at that point I realised, hey I don't feel 100% safe any where, and if I'm going to be a target because I'm an Aussie, Sydney is probably the worse place to hang out!!
Having said all that, we won't be spending much time in Kuta/Legian, but we wouldn't normally any way, we also aren't usually attracted to places where there are a lot of people, Oh I'm going to stop now or I will get myself all worried, best just to live, and enjoy your life, while not taking stupid risks, and I'm a great believer in following you gut instincts.
