I used to have a poem called "What if"? And basically "what if you never"- said, did, went, came whatever, if you live your life on "what ifs" you will never have the oportunity to experience things. The bottom line is like all of the others have said nowhere is safe not even your own home. There are terrorists in all corners of the world. Yes we have been to Bali 3 times since the second bombings and at no time felt "unsafe" we stayed in Legian and did go to Kuta for shopping and to visit the memorial. Our son and a few of his frends came but I will admit he was at the time 21. Had we listened to our very well meaning family and friends after the first bombing we would have never gone anywhere and missed out on having fantastic holidays in Bali and Phuket. Go and enjoy yourselves and come back and share your experiences with others who I am sure will be waiting to hear about your exotic over seas holiday!!
