We unpacked our backpacks we were only staying 1 night.Hubbie went surfing,i put on the sunscreen & went down to the beach for a swim.It was high tide so there wasn't a lot of area to put the towel down. The are a lot of fishing boats anchored near the shore.There is also a lot of seaweed the locals farm the seaweed when the tide is low.It is such a lovely quiet place no one bothers you.There was a lot of surfers on the island.I watched them paddling out & back in.Had lunch at the cafe where we were staying.I had a cheese&bacon jaffle which was 15,000rp very nice.Hubbie had me goreng ayam 20,000rp,he said it tasted good.Bottle of coke 7,000rp,sm bintang 12,000rp lg bintang 19,000rp.We went for a ride on the motor bike which we rented from one of the guys that drove us to our hotel, 80,000rp for a day & a half.In the brochures they wanted US$20 /day.My hubbie took me around the island on the back of the motor bike, it was so much fun.We had a look at the Mangroves,took some photo's of the locals bagging up the the seaweed to sell,they get 3,000rp/kg.It makes cosmetics&biscuits.We stopped at another beach on the other side of the island i think it was called Dream beach it looked quite nice.We didn't see one tourist on our bike ride only a few locals.We went to Ketut's Warung just next door to where we were staying.The food was good the service was good, they were really friendly.I played a few games of connect4 with the owner lot's of fun.Had trouble sleeping i was hot ,no aircon& the crickets were really loud.There was roosters not far from our room they seemed to be making noise a lot earlier than they're supposed to.B'fast was very nice, we had banana pancakes with honey,a cup of tea &banana juice all was just great.We went riding on the bike to Ceningan Island which is right next to Nusa L.We rode across a suspension bridge to get there.It's a very picturesque,like a place you see on a postcard,crystal clear water,fishing boat's a few locals here & there,it was just really nice.It was so good riding around everywhere,my hubbie call's it Al's adventure tours,you never know what your going to see.All good though.I took a few photos than it was back to the hotel.Hubbie went for his last surf before we have to leave,the boat was leaving at 3pm.I laid on the beach chair & read a magazine & went for a swim it was really hot.Checked out of hotel,took the motor bike back,& waited until the boat was ready to go.We did't see any souvenir shops,but hubbie bought 3 shirts for 150'000rp he needed bigger size probably could get cheaper if smaller size.Time to go.Smooth ride back.We thought that we had transfers back to hotel but no, so we had to find transport 60,000rp for taxi back to Tuban. The taxi driver tried to take us the long way but we knew the short cut's, unlucky for him.Nusa L.is a lovely place would definitely go back,maybe stay somewhere with aircon.
