around the island, cause if you go anticlockwise from the village of Jungubatu towards the village of Lembongan/Mushroom Bay you have a HUGE hill to climb which is better to come down, rather than go UP! Instead of walking, why not hire some pushbikes as there are only about 2 cars on the whole island (and one's the ambulance LOL). If you ask Nyoman (her husband Wayan is the dentist at the little hospital at Jungubat) she can organise bikes for you (tell her Anne from Melbourne says hi). Nyoman has a warung in the 'main' street of Jungubatu, just down from the cremation ground. I'll be over there 9 - 15 August staying at Playgrounds. Another hint, if you get a motorbike and stop over at Ceningan and leave the bike, watch out for the rascals of kids who turn off the petrol switch and they want to 'help' you fix the bike, of course they expect a donation for their assistance. What a hoot!
