Well after returning home at nearly 4am this morning I was woken by the kids at about 7am. Damn would I love to have slept a few more hours. But I remembered that we were being picked up by our friend this morning and we were going to Denpasar to do some more shopping.
I staggered down the stairs of our beautiful villa to find hubby looking refreshed and full of life. I took a couple of panadols for safety measure had a huge drink of water, then jumped straight in the shower. Considering I'd only had 3 hours sleep I was feeling ok and ready to face whatever the day had install fo us all.
Mum on the other hand wasn't planning to go anywhere today. She planned to go back to bed for a couple more hours of siesta, (as it was a big night for her) and watch dvd's and go for a dip in the pool.
Hubby the kids and I walked to the Green Garden Restaurant for breakfast again this morning. My son had his usual spaghetti bolognaise for breakfast and daughter had bannana pancakes with icecream. Hubby had his usual American Breakfast and I settled for a light breakfast consisting of fruit platter.
Not long after we'd finished breaky Our friend arrived. This time he bought his daughter along, she is a gorgeous little 5 year old who adores my daughters company, as my daughter enjoys hers.
Todays mission was to go to Ramayana at Denpasar. We arrived at Ramayana and while our friend was parking his kijang hubby purchased some unique lighters from the outside stall (the side entrance where you drive through and get dropped off). He got a few different ones and one of them is a big clear cubed dice which has a push button at the top and flashes when you light it, at the bottom of this dice lighter is a bottle opener. He's always looking out for these type of gadgets, probably to show off to his mates at home.
Inside on the first floor they had some sale bins for 50 percent off. I got hubby a good thick pair of trackpants and got myself a black wind cheater that had 2 white stripes on the sleeves.
Hubby and kids went upstairs to look in the shoe section, as he always gets a new trendy pair of joggers or runners from here. The kids also needed some runners, so off they went. Meanwhile I went to the boys clothes section and purchased a few long sleeved shirts and some shorts sleeved racing car shirts for my son. Finished what I needed to do on this floor, so went to the next floor to meet them all in the shoe section.
My son loves the magnet clip boys sandals and this time we found a pair of magnet clip black joggers that would be ideal for school shoes. They are good quality and they also come with a little gift in each box, such as toy cars or goggles etc. Son had his shoes now and hubby got 2 pairs of reeboks that were trendy designs. My daughter got a nice pair of runners also.
Then we went to the little coffee cafe that is located at the front entrance near pizza hut and had some lovely cappacinos, drinks and snacks. While the guys were still chatting and on their second drink I popped out the front for a ciggie and bought 4 pairs of sunnies from an old man whos been there for a while now. I got 2 pink pairs of channel sunnies and 2 black pairs of gucci.
Next mission was for me to look for Martha Tillar products and hubby and the kids went back upstairs to get my daughter and himself a couple of new phone covers.
I found the cosmetic section and I went Martha Tillar mad. I purchased the following Martha Tillar products:
Mascara
2 x Lipshines in different colours (lip gloss).
Aromatic body lotion
Moisturiser with aromatic
Facial foam with refreshing aromatic
Facial scrub
Relaxing aromatic cream
Lulur spa 2 in 1
Jeruk facial mask
Face moisturiser
Eye Cream
Night Cream
Total cost of all these products came to 225,000 rupiah - Very happy indeed and the products I've used so far (being a Martha Tillar Virgin) are great! I also tried to get Revlon foundation while I was there but they only had a few colour ranges left, and they were not my colours.
The boys and kids were waiting for me. We had finished shopping for what we came for so we decided to go to Seminyak and spend the rest of the day at the beach and chill at Gado Gado Restaurant.
We arrived at Gado Gado and got a nice table for us all on the deck overlooking the beach view that was on offer. Here I indulged in my first Bintang for the day, as did hubby and friend. The kids had pineapple juices and then they went and played on the beach while we kept watch on them from our possie, which was absolutely lovely.
We enjoyed a chat and some laughs and I wanted the day to last as long as it possibly could, as tomorrow we were going home. While sitting there a beach seller walked by and got my attention with some lovely paintings that were framed. These paintings would be ideal for my hallway posts I was thinking to myself, so I struck up a deal with him and got 4 of them. Two of the paintings are of balinese dancers and the other two are of Barong faces and masks.
There were a couple of old balinese ladies sitting by watching us and chatting to the children on the beach and I approached them and asked if they did hair braiding. Of course they did, so I got them to braid our balinese friends daughter's hair. She was really happy and excited as she's never had her hair braided like a tourist before. Our friend said everybody will think she is tourist now lol. She looked really cute and I paid the ladies for their services. By this time we'd had a few bintangs and were getting peckish.
We ordered a large pan of fried prawns that came in the frypan with fresh crushed garlic paste in a seperate dish and some bread sticks. This came accompanied with a small nibblies platter of olives garlic cloves and antipasto. We washed these down with cold bintangs and ordered some french fries for the kids. The kids washed there's down with some sprite then we finished our snacks off with icecream and chocolate cake.
As we were watching the sun go down a beach seller came past with a wooden bow and arrows set. My husband was very interested in this as he has the blow dart set and this would go nicely with his collection. He struck up a deal and purchased the set being fully aware that this may not make it home, but he took the chance anyway.
We bid Gado Gado farewell and made our way back to the villa. Mum was back to life and was sitting under the gazebo table reading and enjoying a Bintang. We had a couple of duty free scotches and our friend waited for us to shower and dress for dinner so we could all get a lift to a restaurant.
Tonight we ate at a little restaurant which is just up from Cafe Bantan Waru which we have been to on a couple of occassions now. There was a guy playing solo on an acoustic guitar and singing some songs for entertainment. We finished our meal and got a taxi back to villa to retire for the night. I gladly slipped into bed and fell straight to sleep.
