Yes spag Bog for breakfast lol, it's his favourite dish so at least I know he'll eat it all. He likes his spaghetti on toast of a morning but baked beans were on the menu, which he doesn't like...So spag bog it was.
Most places I had no problems asking for kids sized meals. If they are not into some of the different dishes available I found that a large majority of restaurants do have a selection of kids meals on their menus.
My son likes satay chicken with fried rice, so in that case I would share the rice between the two of them as I found he never seemed to finish all the fried rice on his dish.
I know what you mean, as I also don't like seeing good food go to waste.
