FWIW I still insist the risk of being ripped off via your credit card is much less than if someone skims your debit card as the banks have a great process to dispute unauthorised transactions. In the 3 occasions we've been charged for things that weren't ours (in all occasions NOT overseas!) the charges have been easily reversed by just filling out a form :-) Yes its a hassle but your $ are safe :-)
