Hi there,
How about checking Suri Wathi, some of the lovely ladies who regularly post here have stayed there, so there's plenty of info in the archives. Its a small friendly hotel run by Balinese.
There may even be someone from the forum there, who could possibly look out for your mum if that would put your mind at ease.
Have you decided on specific dates yet? Where is she travelling from?
