I'll be travelling alone and staying at Casa Padma in Padma st from the 17-24th. Its about my 15th trip and, as you know, favourites come and go and change depending where you stay too.
I'd describe myself as a 33 year old middle class type and here are some of my favourites:
Cafe: Starbucks or excelso, Kopi Pot or Aromas, Ngiring Ngewedang near Munduk
Beaches, depends if you are going for the view or to surf/swim, nice beaches for view are Dreamland, Sunset beach (Seminyak), Geger beach (Nusa Dua), Echo Beach (Canggu, more of a surf location but I love the restauruant there)
Restaurants: always go to Mades Warung, Ketupat, Kori, Drops also like Echo Beach, Wayan & Friends, The Balcony, La Lucciola, in Ubud Murni's, Lotus Cafe and Indus. I like Bumbu Bali if I'm near Benoa or Nusa Dua. I like to go to Sharkey's at Jimbaran every once in a while. This trip I'm going to try Loloan and The Living Room near Seminyak.
Don't go to clubs much any more but I like MBarGo and double six. This trip I will go have a look up at the Sky Garden on Legian Street.
Markets are pretty much the same, and sometimes you get a good price, sometimes they just don't want to budge much. I've gone to Ketuts in Sahadewa the last couple of times to avoid the hassle. This trip I'm going to look at Sukawati markets near Ubud.
Department Store: Tiara Dewata if you can go to Denpasar or Matahari Kuta.
I love to eat Balinese food and fresh watermelon or papaya juice or illusions or Hattens rose if I'm having a few drinks.
Spas: Chill, Bodyworks, Ambiente is ok for foot reflexology but no privacy.
Favourite Day trips: Munduk and Ubud, WWR at Telaga Waja, one day will go trekking at Lemukih.
