and the kids loved it. I am not a huge fan of caged animals but to really give kids the opportunity to see these animals, to grow a love and have passion for them then Zoo's fill a need as well as the obvious of keeping the money coming in so the animals are looked after.
The bali zoo I actually found nice. It was in a lovely quite area and the different animals were well separated (can't stand zoos that have natural predators close each other). The animals seemed happy and were well kept and feed.
ALTHOUGH- I was not impressed with the orangutan- he needs to to be taken to an Orangutan rehab to live with other apes... I don't think he is happy at all. ... and the Tiger enclosure is not ideal at all either but hopefully with education and up grading the Zoo will imporve. It wasn't that long ago that our Zoo's looked like this.
The Camel is a sweet heart :-)
