I understand that your concern is about the future care of Blanco and the monkey, and that fact they maybe sent to live in zoo, where they will not be cared for.
Its one thing to be rehabilitated and quite another to be sent away to another zoo to a future that may prove to be much worse.
Your post was all about them and their care.
I dropped into Melka last month to see one of the staff members and I spoke to Karl. He told me the same thing. He said that he was sick of all the abuse he was getting. He was moving Blanco and the monkey to another zoo. He was quite firm with me and said that he wouldn't consider changing his mind.
I asked him what the zoo was like and he said it was fine. He said that he had been working for the last 6 months with the government to change the licences to the other zoo
I was and am very upset to honest. Knowing how bad many of the zoos are in Bali I'm afraid for Blanco. She has a loving nature and and was moved to Melka because she was terribly abused by her previous owners.
Even though living at Melka isn't ideal, she was and is cared for well by the staff.
It would be terrible to think that she maybe condemned to a live her life out in a zoo that is poorly maintained, the goes for the monkey.
As many people know, I'm all for animals living in the wild, but I felt that I should post the facts about this subject as I found them in May.
