Where have you been hiding. I am dying to know how Doyock and wayan (girl who works at Lindas and is engaged to Wayan who works at Agus's shipwrech bar) are going, hopefully they are still working at Lindas after their move from Puri Nusa. How was the surf?
But I totally support Clares comments, there is no way you need to pay the big dollars and I think you actually have a better time, certainly get closer to the local culture. As far as no swimming pool if you are staying along Jungabatu bay it is better swimming up the Lindas and Puri Nusa end. Deeper water and less boats. If you want hot water and airconditioning there are a few rooms like this at Puri Nusa at a starting price of 150,000rp per night.
