I wonder whetehr it's a combination of many more options available now and the major destinations such as Kuta and Legian are beginniong to lose some appeal? I was in Bali last September and stayed in Sanur. I was quite amazed at how much more popular Sanur had become in the space of just 12 months since my previous visit. We have predominantly stayed at Sanur on each of our 5 visits to Bali. Since the second bombing, Sanur seems to have new-found appeal for a lot of people. Perhaps its the perception that Sanur is less at risk, perhaps it's the recent upgrading of a few major properties in the area and the inclusion of the new apartment style accommodation, perhaps it's just that people have discovered Sanur's relaxed village-style environs are less hard-core commercial and more like the Bali of old...who knows, whatever it is, it's certainly working for Sanur at the moment. Cheers - kevin
