Sorry Scotty, I can't decide for you but I can maybe guide your decision. Firstly I suggest that you look in your local telephone directory and find a nearby map shop or scout shop and buy a map of Bali, about 1:250,000 scale. One I use and can recommend is the PeriplusTravel Maps series, which includes one of Bali, ISBN 0-7946-0023-9. It's less than US$10, whatever that converts to in Euros. You might even find one in your local library.
The second thing I can do to help is suggest that you have a look at the link below where you will find information on the main Bali districts, covering such things as places tp shop, eat, drink, visit and stay. Bear in mind that there are literally thousands of accommodation options in Bali and you won't find any single source that will cover them all. Remember also that what one person recommends because it suits their needs and tastes will be a hell-hole for someone else.
Accommodation is easy to find so book into somewhere for a short period of maybe a couple of nights in the first instance. If you find it not to your taste take half a day to find somewhere better nearby and move on. No problems!
Have a great trip.
