excess luggage $$$

just wondering approx how much is excess luggage per kg. what have people been paying lately if there are over their 20kg.

Also if wanting to bring over pictures can they be wrapped up in paper and put on the plane? does anyone know what this might cost ( they will be frangapani pictures for my neice)
