This is just to stop people from making LIQUID BOMBS, i have not heard of any one doing it yet but they have decided to act now before some one does start it.
Just remember you can take as much liquids etc as you like in your luggage that you check in, but you can not take any more then 100ml's in your hand luggage, even if the can says 200ml's it is not allowed, they are saying that the container must say on the bottle etc no more then 100ml!!!!!!!
