After a longgggg day on the 16th we finally arrived in Bali around 11.00pm around 2.00am Melbourne time so we were all fairly knackered. Flew Jetstar and the flight was delayed in Sydney for around an hour due to the wrong baggage being on board. Unloaded and loaded up again. Please for all those who continually knock Jetstar you only get what you pay for. We had no problem getting 4 DVD players and watched a couple of movies which made the flight OK. Stayed at All Seasons Legian for the first 5 nights which was very comfortable and great breaky. Pool was great along with the couple of bars for icy Bintangs and the Staff were very friendly excellent service. Went to so many bars far too many to name however the boys did enjoy a couple of big nights upstairs at the bounty. Hit the Elephant Park and white water rafting great experience and fun had by all. 2 out of 3 boys also went Bungy jumping at Hacketts and absolutely loved it, 4 jumps but not for me. Other Son had done it all before so he took the picks. It was all go go go with surfing etc. Nypie day was interesting however the cards were out and all had a win. Son changed 100,000 in 1,000 bills so there was no plenty of change. The parade Nypie eve was fantastic great experience and would recommend anyone over at the same time next year to check out. Para sailing and jet ski at Nusa Dua and also quad bikes at Ubud was a thrill. Stayed at Bali Dynasty after we left All Seasons and although a great resort for young families would have been better staying somewhere else. Not knocking Dynasty but if you don't have young kids I would look somewhere else (only my opinion). Sunsets were fantastic and the rain was great although it created a very high humidity which made things a bit uncomfortable. Bali people doing it really hard as not so many tourists so if you are in two minds as to whether or not to go please go for it and don't be afraid to offer a little more than what you expect for your Bintang Tee shirt. You can still get an absolute bargain and by paying 10,000 more. Rate at Kodak shops was really good at 7,250 most days. Left last Tuesday night on the Jet Star red eye special and yes you do get frisked before entering the Departure lounge. So what if you ain't got nothing to hide you got nothing to worry about. All in all a fantastic 12 days and I'll be definitely going back providing the Boss gives me the time off work.
