I've read quite a few comments here trying to put my own opinion aside for a moment and at the end of it have come to this. Kevins words are my feelings exactly....
I've been guilty of over reclining on a 12 hour flight in a seat that was broken. The lady behind me, another agent, suffered in silence while I had a good old kip. The seat had just continued to lean further and further back and I was unaware as i was out cold.
On the return flight, and this is the truth I swear, the same thng happened to me and it was the same woman. I almost went mad to the point that I complained to the group leader and that is when they told me what had happened on the way up... I was horrified and suffered it out to try and make it up to her. Full flight, no options, just had to let her be.
For this reason I totally sympathise with anyone who has been the victim of a faulty seat and they are out there. But for anyone just having a recline to try and make the best of it then more power to you.
People have all manner of back and neck problems, digestive issues and even a resposibility to function as a parent after these flights so there is a need to be comfy and have adequate rest.
Theres always room for extra good manners and a little consideration for your fellow man at all times not just on a plane. We can all afford to dig a bit deeper in that regard.
Happy, comfortable Travels.
