what can be done about extremely expensive negative experience in friends sons recent trip to Bali.
Firstly unfortunately he left card in ATM it was then drained of all funds, can these be claimed on travel insurance???
Second incident upon arriving in Bali this young man paid VOA but upon departure appears they only stamped for 7 days he stayed and paid for 14 days, so then taken into room to the side and made to pay ASD$400.00 on credit card before he could proceed, sounds way over the top for administration mistake, is there anything this young man can do eg. contact consulate. I cannot imagine how intimidated this young man felt first time overseas and not a very pleasant one, we have been travelling to Bali for over 25years and luckily never had issues like this to deal with but sad for our friends has now vowed never to travel abroad again.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
