he will never get back and I doubt the receipt will be worth the paper its printed on .. if he actually did get a receipt from the person who processed the credit card.
Sadly .. its a well known fact that many of the people at the airport catch travellers unaware. The people that get caught with excess luggage and are told they have to pay ridiculous amounts of money which is usually in cash which goes straight into the pocket of the person asking for it.
When we were leaving Bali last time we went, there was a group of girls in front of us and they were being told they had excess luggage. I moved closer to them and whispered in the ears of those standing back to watch it and not pay the amount that they initially demand, haggle and you'll get out of it cheaper.
The guy behind the counter saw me talking to them. We went up for our turn and we had excess luggage .. but amazingly he let us through with a smile.
