We are also going to travel to Medewi, (prob Puri Dajuma too), can you recall how long it took you to drive to Medewi? You mention that it was empty, so I presume booking is not really necessary?
Taman sari also looks great, altho a little dear (on the net), do you think hotels in that area require booking?Did it take long to drive between Medewi and Taman Sari? and are the roads pretty good?
I remember when we went to Ahmed a few years ago, there certainly wasn't any need to book, and we are in Bali for 6 weeks and dont want to make set plans.
