Well its a little late but I had the best trip ever. We left Perth early Sunday morning 25th Feb Bali bound. We were greated by the Patra Resort staff which took us to our fab hotel. We arranged for 2 Deluxe suit rooms next to each other as travelled with 3 adults and 2 children. Got the Patra at about $55 per night per room (BARGAIN) This is a 5 star resort so I think it was the best bargain ever. Unfortunatley the gods opened and it poured down with rain - it did this a few times but hey it clears away as fast as it arrives.

Arrived in style and greeted by staff with cold drink and cold towel. Well what a fantastic hotel. The rooms were huge. They comprised of Bedroom and lounge dining areas. 2 balconies, 2 TV, biggest bathroom with the deepest bath ever. This hotel is fantastic. Being a big hotel I was surprised with the service as the staff were fantastic. Usually you can get lost amongst the travel guest but this hotel was warm and so humble. Will stay there again. This hotel will be even better once the beach has been fixed in that area. One thing though the hotel is a little big so was a hike to get to pool and get to Kuta as a little far. They have shuttle bus every couple of hours which is great. Just be careful of the ladies on the beach - not the best braiders for extensions.

After having a few too many drinks at the Pool bar during happy hour - settled back to our room for a few duty frees and went out for dinner at poppies 1 Agung resturant - great meal and very cheap. Little before secret garden. Other resturants visited during the 6 nights at the Patra - again TJ's best mexican ever (poppies lane 1), Batu Waru (next to Centros) very nice meal.

Caught up at the Indo National - Bali travel Forum get together - was nice to meet you Chris - Thanks for all the wonderful stories you told us.

After spening 6 nights in luxury we were off to the Bounty Hotel to party. We go to Bali every 6 to 8 months so Bounty is always our port of call. This is our favourite hotel The bounty. We always go there for a few days as the staff are fantastic. Hey I know it can get a little ferrel there but hey its Bali and all in all the guests staying at the time there were fantasitic. The staff there always look after us and we had the kids so they give us a little more extra care. The greeting reception there was unreal - we even had our name on our room door, with roses inside and fressh basket of fruit. We meet up with Perrydomgirl from the Forum and we all had a great time. Hey sussie if your reading - hi babe hope your trip home was good. It was a pleasure meeting you and Lisa we had just the best time.

Well first day there in the Pool bar at 11.30 am opps didnt get out of the pool till 11.30pm (odd occasional toilet break exception) Wiped a few people out with the FGD's and poor old mum decided she was not drinking again. We love the bounty hotel and highly recommend it as it has sooo much atmoshphere. There are a few little changes at the Bounty which have made an improvement to the hotel. We still take the kids there as they were happy as pigs in mud and us adults dont have to worry about baby sitters as there is enough happening around the hotel at night that there was fun for everyone. At one time we orded room service for the kids and always got ice cream. Well the icecream got bigger and bigger every time with moe and more goodies on top. The one time we didnt get ice cream the room service lady asked what no ice cream today - are you sure? very funny.

On day 11 we went to the Bali Zoo - if you have not been before go as its a real good day. Lots of animals to see.

Great place to get pedicure and manicures - Salon Babi (poppies lane 2) the girls in there are fantasitic - When you walk in there its air conditioned, they will give you fresh water, then massage and exfoliate your feet and hands - then finish off with nail polish (25000 rupiah) 10000 extra for flowers. They are located between Koris resturant and Rainbow cafe (theres a concrete wall opposite the shop).

Just a little further go see Lisa Shop (located next to Barong hotel) she is very good for braiding and extensions. she also has real hair extensions as well. The girls are really nice and if you have any children clothes take a bag to the girls as one of the girls is finding it hard to clothe her little girl. they will appreciate it.

A must go is Geneva home wares - before you go shopping go here as its got everything you need but more - its set price and we bought so much there. Got some beautiful bed runners, and cushion covers etc. They have everything from earrings to ashtrays, linen, lanterns, the list is endless.

We really we did lots of nothing this time around. everytime we visit Bali it just gets better. Love Bali love the people.

Thanks Bali and all the people we met - thank you for giving me a wonderful holiday. Thank you to the Bounty Hotel staff for giving me and my family such a warm reception and looking after us so much. Thanks to the Massage ladies (yoman) that looked after my 11 year old daughter that had become addicted to your massages every day. Thanks to Saniti and Anom at the Bounty who made sure our stay at the bounty Hotel was always great. Will see you again soon. Also a big thanks to Eka - who always looks after us at the Pool Bar with his special drinks. you are a very special person.

Thanks Bali
