Declare it on your Customs arrival form

Coffee etc. will show up on the x ray and you will get the white cross.
This happened to us in November and they knew exactly where in the suitcase the coffee was packed. No problems once they had confirmed it was coffee and not something else as it shows up as a solid black object.
Ditto coming back into Australia.
