Renovations is a good thing, remember it's Bali (no problems). They won't be working through the night and any reno's would be done as discretely as possible. When we are in Bali (maybe because we're not working) we love watching the gardeners hand cut the lawns at Waterbom with scissors,at roadworks they don't use tippers when you can get five workers to shovel the gravel off (saves jobs).I find it very interesting watching the tradesmen go about their work, we watched a guy on a second floor scaffolding, working below another workman, in Kuta side streets one day - he was using his bike helmet as a hard hat. So funny to see all that personal OH&S equipment they are supplied :-) Just enjoy the differences.
