Got back this morning after 10 days of business, pleasure & Bali belly. I had been on the blower to my expat "little" sister Gendut on Thurs night (18th)& she told me her huband (Johnni) had read in the Den. Post that morning the government had bulldozed All the Warungs on the strip. "Bullsheet" I thought, he's got the bull by the bum again & as soon as I arrived next morning I went to see for myself. Got to tell you that both me & my lady were ill prepared for the sight that greeted us. Every last one of them a pile of dusty smoking rubble. One of the islands world famous famous tourist attractions (& no small employer either) reduced to a pile of smouldering crap. Gobsmacked pretty much sums it up.
