you will only be paying for the wholesale price of gold on the day.the more it goes up the more you pay.we bought a braclet a few years ago for $A335.00 from memory it was around 70 to 80% which worked out at 16.5 carats.the reason i know is i had my jeweler test it here in mooloolaba.he valued the braclet at $A1,200.00.again from memory gold was around $A400 per ounce. its now around A$640 per ounce.so the same braclet now would be worth around $A500.00 in bali and retail for around $A2,000.00.please note, the gold in bali is all around 16 to 18ct.there is no 9ct gold in bali like in australia.you can see the difference.its a real bright yellow gold.now here is the the real deal.if we had to sell braclet today we would only get the wholesale price of gold on the day eg $A500.00 (because thats all an antique shop that sells gold or a pawnbroker will pay.on the postive side you will be paying around 1/4 of the retail price of similar item in australia.bottom line DO IT YOU CAN'T LOSE.go to the gold shops in jl hassaduan(sp)just grab a taxi they all know where it is.the shop keepers will no hassle you to buy,but the hawkers outside shops are something else.good luck
