white gold is a mixture of pure gold 24 ct.100% and a mixture of 25% nickel and palladium,that gives it the silvery hue.hence 75% or 18ct.i have just called a mate of mine who owns a pawn shop and he prices white gold the same as 18ct yellow gold.hope that helps but again you cant lose as you will only be paying wholesale price for white gold.cheers
