Given that you are sponsoring him though, I would be mindful of how or if that might impact down track if your sister intends on applying for a spouse visa.
I have friends who have married their Indonesian partner while here on a tourist visa, but they have been the sponsor. Mind you they never stated that they were getting married. This may not be a viewed as positive as far as Immigration goes.
