To avoid sending the Balinese blind by the sight of my lily-white skin when I get off the plane, can anyone recommend a good fake tan lotion? I'm one of those people with sensitive skin, that freckles (ugh!) burns & peels & hasn't had a decent tan in her life!
Here is my wish list:
- one that doesn't turn me, my nails or palms orange
- that it looks natural........not like Paris Hilton's or George Hamilton's 'natural tans'!
- that it smells nice, not like white king or a bottle of multivitamins
- one that doesn't require me to scub off a layer of skin in preparation, though I will if I absolutely have to, & use the orbital sander
- one that doesn't require me to stand around naked for an hour waiting for it to cure, afraid of staining the furniture or my clothes
- one that applies fairly evenly
- it doesn't have to be 'instant' - I can handle a gradual colour change
- one that doesn't require me take out a second mortgage to buy
Any ideas, girls?
I tried a spray on-tan last year - I found it a bit humiliating having to lift up the droopy & wobbly bits for spraying underneath by a pretty young beautician who didn't have an inch of cellulite on her, unlike me! And it was soooo cold! Brrrrr!
By day 4 it was gone & I was back to white and freckly, so I don't want to go down that road again, thanks all the same.
