The Parade the night before is great but don't go too far from you accom as there are very few Taxi's about and the roads are blocked anyway. Best to be in walking distance.
Also we got caught last year with money. Make sure you have enough cash and don't need to use the ATM Machines as they turn them of during the day on Nyepi eve. I know there is to be no light but I wouldn't have thought that these give off that much light. Just found this amusing myself.
Also many resturants will make you a hamper pack of food for your day in, you just have to order it before hand and pick it Nyepi eve.
