That's not good news. Last trip the flight connections going Qantas/Jetstar AK/SYD/DPS then back via Melbourne meant lots of time in transit. Looked at other options and next trip we've booked a return trip Auckland/Bangkok (Andrew at www.thailand.co.nz)then Air Asia Bangkok/KL/Bali and back. We got some of the Air Asia "free" tickets but even at regular prices, fares for the whole trip were cheaper than the Qantas/Jetstar option. A long way round to get there, but good connection times and an excuse for a few nights in Bangkok too!
