I have now suffered from Epilepsy since I was 18, I'm now 46 and have been surfing since i was 15 !!! I still take medication which keeps it all in check.
He will be fine, surfers look out for others in the Water and you are never alone in the water in Bali - the surf is just too good to miss out on.
