we went with Jetstar ex Adelaide to Melbourne & back thru Sydney in December. Cost $1151 each. Over a 10 hour trip each way. I would suggest either going Qantas or Garuda with a package thru Perth or Darwin. Malaysian & Singapore Airlines leave Adelaide about 4 times per week, you could explore that option.
