I am long time Darwinite. Airport is about 10 mins from city. The problem you will have at that time of the morning is nothing will be open. Cheaper to catch cab into the city than shuttle service if there is more than one person. There is a tour tub that will show you all the local sites. It is an open air mini bus and is normally caught at the end of the mall. Museum is good, lots of history on Cyclone Tracy with actual room that replays tapes from church service on that night, you hear the noise of the cyclone and the room shakes. And of course sweetheart the largest croc caught in the NT is now resting at the Museum. War tunnels from WW11 are worth a look. Right now the weather is not too hot. Happy to help with any info
