If you go to Ubud, you will no doubt end up in Ubud market. This market runs early morning as produce market for locals and changes to a tourist market for the rest of the day. You will find most things here from clothes, baskets, wood statues, drums, shoes, sunnies, watches, etc. Along the street there are other shops with jewellery, CD's etc. If you have limited time then I would suggest maybe trying to get to Geneva - look at www.genevahandicraft.com for details of wares. This place is fixed price and has loads of stuff especially statues etc, and may simply the outing for you.
