We just returned from Bali and when we checked in at Brisbane airport we could have upgraded at the counter for an extra $350 each.
When returning from Bali have you tried the premier lounge. It cost around US$20 each which you get to sit in a beautiful and comfortable quite lounge. Food and drink are also included, you just help yourself, mainly snack type foods, white and red wine, beer and spirits. Well worth it. We do it every time now, skip dinner and make use of the premier lounge. Do it once and you will do it every time. It is the end of the trip and the last bit of enjoyment of your holiday. We went early this time as our check out was at 2.00 p.m. so we checked in 3 hours early. We just went up to the staff at the buisness class area as no one else were around and asked if we could check in early so we could go to the premier lounge and they let us do it.
