I've been reading the forum pretty closely over the past few weeks ... hunting for the best advice on money ...
We have the usual range of EFTPOS and credit cards (ANZ and Commonwealth, Visa and Mastercard) but I am getting the distinct impression that it might be the best idea if we take Australian cash ($100 notes in good condition) and change them as required rather than relying on our credit cards or on getting cash from ATMs (which I understand can be rather expensive per transaction). Any thoughts on that idea?
I guess the credit cards would come into their own on some of the larger transactions and the EFTPOS cards would be great for when the $100 notes run out :) or if we are out hunting for huge numbers of DVDs and need extra cash ... As a matter of interest, does anyone know what denomination notes the ATM machines spit out?
... getting it all together slowly ...
