Thanks Mic for the info, I thought i knew about all the different visas for Indo, but I was not aware that you could apply for a Tourist Visa in this way. (apply in Oz before departure)
I thought the only "Tourist Visa" Indonesia offers these days for Australian nationals is the VOA (30 day non-extendable, US$25).

The 60 day one you posted about sounds like a really attractive alternative! US$25 vs AUD$60...nto that much difference, and you get an extra 30 days!

Was it all smooth sailing when you applied to get yours? How long ago was that. I presume you don't need an Indonesian sponsor for it?
