You head up towards Bedugal, which is in the centre of the island. About 1.5 hours from Kuta/Legian.
You can stop for lunch at Pacung Indah, on way up or late lunch on way back. Its on your right hand side about 15 minutes south of Bedugal.
Crackers bar is at Candi Cuning markets which is about 5 minutes from Lake. Drivers will know the location. Its on the left hand side. Good shopping at the market, cool drinks and excellent toilets!
Visit the lake and I believe the botanical gardens are worth a visit. I have that pencilled in for our August visit. I think there is a tree tops walk in the Bedugal botanical gardens.
