i used a credit card but couldn't get a refund through them. My travel agent took it up with the australian travel agent board not sure of the correct name????? And i recieved a refund through them that way as my money was not passed onto air paradise yet. Maybe u could check with your travel agent to see if this is the case for u friend too. Best of luck.
