airlines are not collecting the same revenue as they once did which possibly enabled them to cover expenses of hotel accommodation etc due to delayed flight a lot of profit is now in the fuel and not to mention the taxes on our tickets and the competitive industry that it is has kept flight prices down remember it is better to be on the ground unable to take off rather than to be in the air unable to land I'd rather lose a night anyday anywhere than be in an unsafe aircraft in the air but on time
