I purchased a kodak DX 7440 December 2004 and have been very happy with it. A few weeks ago the battery latch broke and i was unable to use camera. I took it into paxton's and camera has been sent back to Kodak.It will cost around $100 -$200 to replace battery latch. I hope i get my camera back before i go away.Many digital cameras have cheap battery latches and can easily be broken when taking battery out to be charged.I'm going to purchase a camera dock so i don't have to take battery out as latch could easily break again as Kodak replace it with the same latch.
