The Government of Indonesia/Bali do not provide free medical care and when you are only earning 6000rp a day and the hospital wants at least 50000rp for a consultation, and the same or more for the medication where do you think the money will come from. They can't work any harder than they already do and the kids must get fed. The people we see don't even have water for washing, let alone money sitting in a savings account for a rainy day. I agree about the over use of antibiotics creating super bugs, I am a nurse after all. However they rarely use antibiotics here so they don't have superbugs and no chance of making them.
