I myself ,as well as many of my foreign friends, have Indonesian bank accounts. It's no problem to apply for one at all. I'm using BCI (Bank Central Asia) myself.
One thing to be aware of though, is that if you haven't put any money into your account during the last 6 months, the bank will close it. Your money are not lost but you must claim them yourself. This happend to me once and the same rule applys to my husbands account in Bank Mandiri (and he's Indonesian). Good Luck
