as she has a heart condition and if she should end up getting say bitten or scratched by a monkey then she must have oral antibiotics, especially if she need stitches etc. My doctor is quite happy to prescribe them and I dont think he is a bad doctor for doing this, when she was bitten by a spider here in Oz she needed a course so it makes sense for me to take a script with me. I also take some for myself as a back up.
