When I was there last i purchased Bebas then couldnt recharge so I got another one costing 50,000 then couldnt recharge that so a friend got me Simpati sim. cost 50,000 and had 20,000 credit with it. you can recharge at general stores with no problem. Indo sims are great if family and friends want to ring you. Only costs aprox $1.10 per minute. I did hear that they are now registering purchases of sim cards just like in Aus. Not sure if that is true. Its all about tracking terrorists I think. Definitely worth getting to keep in touch with home and less expensive than international roaming. Im sure if you ask at a few shops before making decision then you will know which one to get.
