At any time, whether pregnant or not but especially during pregnancy, avoid buffets where food is kept warm in bain maries or over a candle. When I was pregnant in Bali I felt just wonderful - I ate a lot at little warungs, and consumed masses of fruit and eggs. At the warungs you can be fairly confident that the food is cooked freshly & to order as they don't have space or facilities for storeage - at larger places, often food is pre-prepared. Just keep your head screwed on, don't worry & enjoy. Oh, and by the way, don't order fish if the weather has been bad & fishermen have stayed ashore.
