When I went last year a guide decided she was for me and would not leave me alone. I tolds her politely first in English then when she persisted in Bahasa Indonesia. She would not go.
Everytime I looked in a stall she "showed" me the stuff. I walked out each time stating I would not buy anything.
I think she thought it was funny. I sat on a stool for 5 minutes. She waited. In the end I just left, buying nothing.
Not worth the hassle.
I was very angry and upon leaving and practiced all my Bahasa Indonesian swear words. I felt a little better but would have rather wandered around and bought something.
Might try again one day.
