The tourist thinks they are getting a particular thing, but receive goods which are far inferior - no different from any other tricks like swapping the goods you have bought when you are not looking, diddling money changers , your booked driver sending his non-English speaking friend instead, being short-changed at the grocery shop etc - unfortunately it's a way of life and no good getting stressed about it but still, it's annoying .. some call it 'ingenuity' I guess but I don't think it's anything to marvel about :-(
